For you guys who drives and lazy to hold the petrol nozzle.
Please take note.......
A reminder to hold the petrol nozzle at all times.
You guys don't be lazy. Always hold onto the nozzle while filling up.
A friend of mine stopped for petrol somewhere at the Lingkaran Tengah Highway near Gombak a little over two weeks ago.
This was the first time he patronized that station. As his normal practice elsewhere, he put the nozzle on automatic and stood nearby waiting for his car to be filled up.
Suddenly the nozzle flew out of the gas tank opening with petrol spewing
out at high speed.
He was sprayed with petrol all over, including his face and eyes (just
imagine the pain in his eyes). His companion quickly brought him to him toilet to wash his face. After that they reported the incident to the staff and asked to speak to the manager.
The manager refused to see them. He only instructed the staff to take my friend to the hospital.
According to the staff that was not the first time the nozzle came out of the tank while customers are filling up petrol. But my friend's incident was the worst.
The top layer of his right eye was damaged and the area around his eyes suffered burns and had to be bandaged for 10 days. He was lucky that his eyesight was not affected.
Apparently the nozzle was lighter than normal and the speed of the petrol created a backward thrust that pushed the nozzle out of the tank.
There you go, be careful.

Now that's me.....with the nozzle in the tank and me standing some distance away.....Why?
Because I have my mobile clipped to my waist. And if I switch off my mobile I may forget to switch it on again after the petrol routine.
So it is either I become more diligent in switching off my mobile or moving to somewhere further away from the pump and car petrol tank. The question is how far....?

Ok here is the result on the switching of mobile when pumping petrol;-
1st time; Scared I will forget to switch on and put mobile in the arm rest compartment and left it there thereafter..........
2nd & 3rd time; switch off mobile and left it off thereafter.....
Darn.....!!!
Now because Shell have got a sort of promo gig where you pump $40 either VPower or normal you get to choose to buy a Plastic Ferrari choice of 6 different model cars and fork out 3.99 for VPower and 7.99 for normal, and somehow or another my son got whiff of it....!! I will definitely forget to switch it on....So if cant get me then you know I have just been to the petrol station....!!

At last found the method in switching off the mobile w/o forgetting to on it again or leave it somewhere in the car after finished petrol pumping...
My answer switch off the mobile before starting to pump petrol and holding the mobile in one hand and the other the pump. Then on the power of mobile after putting back the pump immediately..Voila..!!
